- When does the painter receive payment?
- When you accept a quote, you pay the full amount through Stripe Checkout. BrushLink holds the funds securely — the painter isn't paid yet. You release the money once you confirm you're happy with your order. If you don't act, payment releases after the displayed delivery deadline unless a dispute is open.
- What if I'm not happy with the result?
- Message your painter first — most issues are resolved with a small touch-up. If you can't agree, you can open a dispute, which pauses any payment release while our team reviews the order and works toward a fair outcome.
- What happens if my minis arrive damaged?
- Painters arrange tracked shipping and protective packing. If fragile models arrive damaged, raise it right away with photos. Open an in-platform dispute before the displayed deadline to pause release; a message alone does not pause it.
- How long will my commission take?
- Turnaround depends on the painter, the model count, and the quality tier — Showcase work naturally takes longer than Tabletop. Painters share expected timelines in their quote, and you can follow along with work-in-progress photos.
- What do the quality tiers mean?
- Listings carry one of four tiers — Tabletop, Battle-ready, High, and Showcase — that describe the level of finish, from clean gaming-ready models up to display-grade competition pieces. Pick the tier that fits your project and budget.
- Are there extra fees for buyers?
- No hidden platform surcharges. You pay the quote you accept; the platform fee comes out of the painter's side. Any shipping cost is set transparently by the painter up front.
